Once the lady greeted us checked our covid certs we were sat and from that moment we had a wonderful time. From the menu to the wine list, everything looked so original and different than the usual pizza/pasta restaurant. It way busy, despite being Wednesday….With the menus we were served some bread with caponata. So delicious. We both had the same dishes (the specials). For starters we had the seasonal turnip-top pasta dish and for main we had the Brill in a pig-cheek and fresh tomatoes, all cooked with olive oil (you could even taste it). All fresh and tasty. For desserts we shared a Sicilian Cannolli, the best in Ireland. The chef went out and played the sax for our anniversary. What a nice touch. At first the menu looked a little expensive, but the experience was way superior than expected. This little gem deserves an extra star for its uniqueness. We highly recommend it. More
Last Friday night we had the pleasure of eating in Alba, and what a brilliant experience we had. From being met at the door by our lovely waiter we had a great evening. The food is authentic Italian, I had the prawn starter, succulent prawns…smothered in a tomato and chilli sauce, this was worth the journey from Cork alone. My wife bruschetta was fabulous. Our mains of Bolognese and sea food risotto were outstanding and who could resist tiramisu for dessert!!!! Accompanied by a beautiful wine. The two girls and the guy who waited on our table were so nice, friendly and had time to chat which we really appreciated, even the chef came out and played some tunes on his saxophone!! We were the last to leave and even at that there was no pressure put on us to go which was so nice. If your anywhere near Enniscorthy look no further for beautiful food, staff and atmosphere. Very good value too! We most definitely will be back!! Thank you! More
Amazing experience. Arancini as a starter were great. My wife has the hake, my daughter the seafood risotto and I had the large ribeye. Food was really good, the steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and was very tender. Extensive Italian wine list and…reasonable prices. The place was full but the service was good. Recommended if you're in the area! More
We ate at this restaurant last night, the food was simply fantastic. The food must be up there vying for the best Italian cuisine in Ireland. We ate outdoors, were very well served by the staff but the star of the experience is the food….There are those Italian restaurants serving passable Italian food, this is not one of those, so much so that you slow down how you’re eating just to savour every bite. It was our first time eating here, I don’t know when we’ll be in the area again but I’ll do my best to have some reason so that we can eat here again. More
My partner and I had dinner here last night, Sunday. As always, beautiful traditional Italian food. Great food, wine atmosphere and so great to see the super staff beautifully dressed, so well done! Thanks to Brian and his team for looking after us. We are…going back next Saturday with a guest. Barry & Pete More
What a night. I highly recommend this resturant. It was recommended by Clair the receptionist in the Riverside Park hotel. Lovely ambience and Luca, our waiter could not be more friendly and attentive. We could watch Angelo, the chef, prepare the food. He seemed to…love what he did. The presentation of our antipasta to start followed by mouth watering pan fried hake cooked in white wine and ginger and tomato sauce served with a selection of freshly cooked veg of peppers, aubergine, potato left me wanting to tell everyone to please try it. My husband had Calamarata which was equally as tasty. As we shared strawberries and ice cream, the chef came out and serenaded us with his saxaphone to backing tracks. What a really lovely night. There was one other table of diners still there to enjoy this experience too. Please take time to visit this resturant. Anne More
We went to Alba last Saturday and were blown away. First thing we noticed was the atmosphere and how it felt like you were transported out of Ireland to Italy. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was beyond delicious. I would…highly recommend Alba and will definitely be back! More
We visited last night to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary. Its a small restaurant with such a fantastic cosy atmosphere. There were only 3 staff members on and yet we couldn't have been looked after any better. The food was fantastic. It certainly isn't the…place to go for your ordinary garlic mushrooms/lasagne/pizza. None of those options were on the menu. What was on it wasdelightful, authentic, full of flavor. Myself & my husband are huge fans of Italian food, and both agreed it was probably one of our favourite Italian meals we've had. The canollis were to die for. Throughly enjoyed. What an absolute gem of a find! Plus, the homemade limoncello was a bonus. More
